Creating Positive Aging

The Sustainability Committee works within the mission and mandate of the Hamilton Council on Aging to create a future with financial stability. This committee seeks to generate revenue to continue to create positive aging experiences for all older adults in the community.

Fund Development Strategies to generate revenue include the investigation of available grants, the organization of fundraising activities, and the development of a corporate sponsorship package to strengthen community partnerships.

To date, the Sustainability Committee is organizing A Walk for Health activity which will take place in late May or early June 2023 to coincide with Seniors’ month. Monies  raised will support Hamilton Council on Aging workshop activities for seniors and the United Way Halton & Hamilton.
